Terms & Conditions

The Company: Wise Goose Limited (“Wise Goose”, “we” or “us”) is registered in England and Wales with limited liability under number 8113365. Its registered office is the Innovation Centre, Exeter University, Exeter EX4 4RN.

Communications: All correspondence and formal notices under these contract terms shall be in writing and sent either by post (in the case of Wise Goose, to its registered office) or by e-mail (in the case of Wise Goose, to helen@wisegoose.co.uk.

Contracts: If you send us an application form for a place on one of our courses, we will reply to you to let you know whether we can offer you a place on your chosen course. There will only be a contract between you and Wise Goose if and when you accept that offer in writing.

Payment of Fees: Once you have accepted our offer of a place on a course, we will send an invoice for the course fee to the address on your original application form. Fees are payable within 14 days of the invoice date or by the working day prior to the start of the course, if that is sooner. Participants will not be awarded a certificate of completion if there are any fees outstanding.

Discounts and Installments: Any discounts on fees for early bookings are strictly conditional on payment of the discounted fee by the specified date for payment, failing which the fee is payable immediately in full without discount. Where payments of fees by installments has been agreed, any such agreement is conditional on each installment being paid in full by the specified due date, failing which the outstanding balance of the full course fee is immediately payable.

Geographic Limits: Wise Goose does not accept any orders from or enter into any contracts with anybody living in North America (i.e. Canada, the United States of America and Mexico).

Governing Law: Any contract with Wise Goose shall be deemed to have been concluded in the United Kingdom and shall be governed by the laws of England and you and we irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Cancellation: While we will make reasonable endeavours to run all advertised courses, we do reserve the right to cancel or vary any course (including substitution of an advertised trainer) for reasons outside our control (including insufficient interest or illness). If the date of a course is varied to a date unacceptable to you or we do cancel a course, our liability will be limited to a full refund of the course fee. If you wish to cancel your attendance on a course before it starts, you must do so in writing to our office. Refunded fees will be subject to a £30 handling charge and will be limited to:

Postponement: Where, due to reasons outside your control, you cannot attend a booked course, or portion of a course, we may, at our discretion, offer you a place on a subsequent or alternative course, in which case fees paid in advance for the original course (or any part of it) will be carried forward to the alternative course.

Termination: We reserve the right, at our absolute discretion, to require you to leave a course, where we consider it appropriate, in which case we will refund to you any fees paid in respect of any future part of the course but that shall be the limit of our liability for such termination.

Further areas where infringement may lead to termination of studies are:

Infringement of a Code of Conduct which refers to the day-to-day behaviour of participants and an Ethical Code which refers to behaviour, attitudes or personal attributes which may affect the participant’s capacity to safely and successfully enter a profession where members of the public must be safeguarded against such behaviour, attitudes, or personal attributes as may cause harm to them.

Where important information has been withheld, such as criminal conviction or recent psychiatric treatment, on application, or at the start of any course Wise Goose reserves the right to suspend any participant until a full investigation of the matter has been completed.  In such cases Wise Goose reserves the right to terminate studies with no refund.

Confidentiality on Courses: It is a condition of participation in any course that you agree to keep confidential within the group all personal information about any other group member and that you will not (without the prior permission of all participants) make any recording (whether visual or aural) of any course, session or discussion and will not pass on any personal information to any other person or otherwise publish it outside the group. Where a company acts as sponsor the client grants Wise Goose Ltd permission to use the client’s company name only in promotional material. No other details of work will be disclosed without prior approval.

Liability: The information provided on or through our courses is intended solely to provide general education; no liability is accepted for any subsequent action or behavior by delegates. To the extent permitted by law, neither Wise Goose nor any director, employee or agent of Wise Goose shall be liable for any damage, death, illness or injury arising out of the content of or participation in any course run by or for Wise Goose. Third Parties: Any information provided or views expressed by third parties, whether by postings on this website or via any link, are entirely their own; we do not endorse them; and we accept no responsibility for such information or views and, if you rely on them, you do so entirely at your own risk.

Intellectual Property: All intellectual property in the Wise Goose name and logo, and all course materials, content and style (meaning all rights of all kinds including without limitation copyright, registered designs, design rights, trademarks and service marks (whether registered or not), patents, know-how and database rights together with any overseas equivalent and the right to register, protect and exploit the same anywhere in the world) belongs to Wise Goose and course materials are provided to you purely for the purposes of the course and your subsequent personal use in your professional coaching practice, provided that you always acknowledge Wise Goose’s copyright and agree that reproduction, sale or redistribution of that material to third parties is expressly prohibited.
